I am health & wellness coach, trained through Duke University’s Health & Well-being Training Program. I offer individual health coaching to support you to make changes in your life that move you closer to your vision of your healthiest self.  

What is health caoching? will we do in health coaching sessions? 

I will walk you through a structured process of assessing your current state of health in eight different areas (nutrition/lifestyle, emotional well-being, fulfillment/purpose, physical fitness, physical environment, sleep/rest, mindful awareness, and community). 

 

I will collaborate with you on understanding your vision for your healthiest self and set goals to help you move towards your vision of your best self. During the coaching series, we will meet on a weekly or biweekly basis to support you on staying on track with your goals and making real, sustainable, positive change in your life. 

 

Does health coaching work? 

Yes! Across hundreds of research studies and clinical trials, health coaching has been shown to be an effective model for managing chronic disease, supporting preventative care and whole-person health. Health coaching is a powerful tool to have in your toolbox.

You can’t change your DNA—at least not yet—but you can change your relationship with genetic risk.  

As a health coach, I work with people to envision their best, healthiest selves and support them in making concrete changes in diet, sleep, exercise, or emotional wellbeing, changes that can pay epigenetic dividends and move people forward in living the lives that they want to lead.
